3 Weeks Left—We need you now!

What an amazing past week! The Women for Thea Fundraiser had me surrounded by a room full of incredible women who shared their stories about their choice to support me this November. I cannot thank you all enough for your unwavering support. Women for Thea Fundraiser at Mavelous Coffee Bar & Little Griddle On Saturday we had a lit drop near Dolores Park which was co-hosted by the United Democratic Club. Then on Sunday we joined Latinx leaders and my fellow Trustees at Precita Park for a Team that Saved City College lit drop! Continue reading

Running out of time--sign up to volunteer today!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who joined us for a lit drop this past weekend and a special thanks to the San Francisco Democratic Party Executive Committee Officers and the Chair, David Campos! With everything that is happening at the federal level, I couldn't be more proud that my colleague, Brigitte Davila, and I have been endorsed by the San Francisco Democratic Party. Continue reading

Thank you for contributing before our filing deadline!

Thank you to everyone who contributed before one of our most important filing deadlines. Your generosity does not go unnoticed and I am beside myself with this outpour of support. But it's not over yet. There are only 11 days until ballots go out and there is still plenty to do! SF Transit Week Monday morning I had the opportunity to once again kick-off San Francisco Transit Riders Annual Transit Week. As I have echoed time and time again on this campaign, one of my top priorities for City College is to provide CCSF Students with a Rams Transit Pass. City College of San Francisco serves the highest proportion of low-income students, yet is the only higher education institution that does not have some form of discounted or free transit pass. 48 days left! Join us this weekend in the Sunset and the Marina

Last week Governor Brown and Mayor Breed convened the Global Climate Summit in San Francisco —an international environmental response to President Trump’s refusal to work to stop climate change. Governor Brown signed Senate Bill 100 at the Summit, committing CA to 100% renewable energy by 2045, among many exciting and visionary actions. I had the opportunity to meet several Assemblymembers (see below) who are strong environmentalists as well as a woman from Ghana who manufactures lightweight bicycles out of bamboo. Continue reading

A motivating weekend and a dynamic one to come

This past weekend in San Francisco was incredibly motivating. I started at the Love Our City clean up at Rosa Parks Elementary near my home as part of #CleanSF. I then joined the huge RISE for Climate, Jobs, and Justice mobilization on the Embarcadero. It was hailed as the largest on the West Coast, proving that the Bay Area will continue to be on the forefront of environmental justice. Thank you to all who were a part of this moment in history.
